In case you're wondering why its been so long since our last post, I'll sum it up in two words: WALKING BABY! Shannon is off like a rocket, and I'm going to lose the last of my baby weight running after her saying, "Noooo, not the ((insert dangerous thing here))!!"

In other news, we've been pleased to hear that Tulane has bought two apartment buildings, and our current contract will transfer over to an apartment in one of those buildings. Students without families will most likely be assigned to live in one of the two cruise ships Tulane is leasing. That will be a unique housing experience! But not one that I want to deal with, so yippee for Tulane! We don't have any details as to where the buildings are located or anything like that. I would venture to guess that they are a bit newer than Rosen House, but that's pure conjecture.

We are very excited to be going to Columbus, Ohio to celebrate Thanksgiving with Joe's Aunt Maureen and Uncle Paul and their family. Marci and Bill are flying up for most of the week as well.

Anyone read any good books lately? I recently finished Cold Sassy Tree (very good), Leaving Cold Sassy (pretty good, a little unfullfilling being unfinished), The Oath by Frank Peretti (very dissapointing, gotta say, but if you haven't read his Piercing the Darkness and This Present Darkness, you should), and A Green Journey by Jon Hassler (very good - thanks Aunt Marti!). I just started a book called Islands by Don Sleigh. Anyone have any recommendations? Shannon still nurses to sleep so I have lots of reading time!
